We recognize the trust our clients put in us and we pledge to honour it.

IDEAS is a wholly objective source of comparative information. We do not receive any compensation whatsoever from the companies whose products or services are featured in our database, other than where a company chooses to subscribe to our services and pays the scheduled fee.

Why Do We Request Personal Information?

We request personal information, in part, to enhance your experience from one visit to the next. By providing us with your user name, password and email address we will be able to maintain your individual settings and deliver customised research services to you.

Also, the more we know about our user community the better we can serve you. We collect your demographic information, in the aggregate, to help evolve our services to complement your specific comparative information needs.

We report to our corporate clients general aggregate information (such the number of registered users from their company, number of enquiries made, and so on). This helps them analyse the value they receive from subscribing to the service. As a user under a corporate licence there may be times where your corporation requires a list of names of registered users who belong to their corporation in order to secure subjective feedback on the value of the service; we will provide this if asked. Rest assured however, your individual information will not be released to an outside party.

How Does IDEAS Collect Information?

We collect data two ways.

Registration

When you register for IDEAS International, we request information pertaining to your general demographics (your general functional area within your company, for example). This voluntary information is crucial for shaping our understanding of our user community.

Cookies

When you register for Competitive Profiles our server sends a cookie to your browser that holds your unique user-id.

That unique user-id allows us to locate any publications, projects or comparisons you may have saved. These items are totally private to you and neither IDEAS or any other party will see these files, unless you elect to share them with selected other members of your organisation.

If you have your browser set 'not to accept cookies', the service will not work. We provide a means of relocating your user-id cookie if you should lose it, or move to a different system, but without cookies enabled, Competitive Profiles will not work correctly.

No unsolicited email

Not only do we pledge not to pass on your email details, but also we will only send information to your email address if you request it.
